João Cancelo recalled that his favorite moment in his career was Juventus’ 3-0 victory over Atlético de Madrid, in which Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick.
The Portuguese João Cancelo confirmed that compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo seems to be the best player in the history of the World Cup, and remembers the draw with him, against Atlético de Madrid, as the favorite moment of his career.
In a video published by FIFA and covered by the Portuguese press, Cancelo confirmed that deciding who is the best player in the World Cup is “very difficult”, although he finally chose the captain of the Portugal national team.
“It’s difficult, very difficult. I mean the Portuguese… Cristiano!” said Bayern Munich winger, who is on loan from Manchester City, Pep Guardiola.
Cancelo also chose the “Champions” game with Cristiano as the favorite moment of his career: “When we lost to Atlético de Madrid at the Metropolitano and then won 3-0 at home”.
In 2019, Juventus lost João Cancelo 2-0 in Madrid in the first leg of the round of 16, but a hat-trick by Cristiano Ronaldo in Turin ensured passage to the ‘Vechia Signora’ in the next stage.
